RTA to boost cooperation with General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has recently paid a visit to the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs-Dubai to cement the means of joint cooperation towards overcoming the difficulties and easing the procedures for the participants in the MENA Transport Congress and Exhibition 2014.

Abdullah Al Mahra, Director of RTA Administrative Services, said: “Our visit to the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs-Dubai is part of RTA’s policy and plan to communicate with public and private entities in order share expertise and step up joint cooperation to the highest international standards. In particular, we are seeking to explore various avenues of achieving the satisfaction of participants in the MENA Transport Congress and Exhibition scheduled to be held in April 2014.

“During the meeting, discussions covered a number of key topics including setting up a mechanism for streamlining the entry of participants in the Congress hailing from difference countries, and migrating to the electronic format and how to deliver services online in order to ease procedures and expedite processing, particularly as the RTA is keen on adopting advanced technological methods that ensure speedy, accurate, handy and transparent processes; and accordingly enhance customers satisfaction,” continued Al Mahra.

For his part, Colonel Awad Al Himiari, Assistant Director of Human Resources and Finance Sector, General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs-Dubai, welcomed the visit of RTA delegation which, he says, reflects the positive and substantial cooperation towards exchanging expertise and enhancing the strategic partnerships between the two entities with the aim of processing joint business to bring them with the highest international standards, particularly as the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs-Dubai prioritize the delivery of top class services and the cooperation with all government departments.
