RTA discusses joint cooperation with ASQ

The Department of Development and Corporate Performance (DCP) of RTA’s Strategy and Corporate Governance Sector has recently met at the RTA Headquarter with a delegation from the American Society for Quality (ASQ), a global leader on quality in all fields, services and industrial organizations.

On behalf of RTA, the meeting was attended by Mr. Khalaf Khalaf Deputy Director, DCP and a number of employees from the DCP Department of the Strategy and Corporate Governance Sector, while the meeting was also attended for ASQ by its Managing Director Mr. John Fowler, together with a number of ASQ’s managers and other team members.

Shaikha Ahmad Al Jarman, Director, Development and Corporate Performance, expressed her satisfaction and pleasure to meet with an international quality leader such as the American Society for Quality (ASQ) and voiced an RTA’s readiness to benefit from the large and solid experience and expertise of the ASQ in quality and excellence, and establish long term bilateral business relations in a step forward to make this purposeful cooperation a strategic partnership in the future.

Al Jarman further confirmed RTA’s constant commitment to implement quality evolvement and excellence practices in its daily operations and diversified services provided to the public from all social cross-sections including the mass transit commuters and users of other RTA’s broad range of services including the electronic ones.

“We, since the inception of RTA, have always been adopting the quality and excellence as a corporate culture and urged our employees to consider these two elements as an integral part of their daily activities and tasks,” she added.

“RTA has further attached a great significance to innovation and creation and our senior management is also keen on making the daily workflow and performance of all its employees as innovative and as creative as possible,”  said Al Jarman.

For his part, Mr. John Fowler said:  “RTA has a solid foundation of quality and performance excellence and we welcome the opportunity to assist them in maintaining and further cultivating its quality culture. ASQ offers a wealth of resources that can help organizations increase and maintain high levels of quality and we are proud to offer RTA these services and continue building our relationship.”
