Dubai’s transport authority said on Saturday it has awarded a AED100 million ($27.2 million) construction contract for the Jumeirah Corniche project.
The project spans six residential beachfront communities in Dubai and stretches for 14km, the Roads and Transport Authority said.
The contractor started work last month with the project slated to open in November, Mattar Al Tayer, chairman and executive director of the RTA, said.
The project comprises the construction of a five-metre wide walkway, a four-metre wide jogging track, rest areas including retail kiosks and shaded benches overlooking the beach. More info
