About 1391 cases have so far been signed off, and a mechanism has been endorsed for honoring owners of innovative ideas in recognition of their efforts and contribution to the improvement process.
“In a bid to step up the interaction with the Mohammed bin Rashid Smart Majlis, the RTA has coordinated with the Executive Office of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the holding of an educative training session with the aim of achieving more efficiency in dealing with this innovative channel,” said Ahmed Mahboub, Director of Customers Service, Corporate Administrative Support Services Sector, RTA.
The session, which had lasted more than two hours, was attended by Directors of CEOs Offices, managers of customers’ teams in agencies & sectors of the RTA, Director of Customers Service, Manger of Customers Care Strategy in addition to several specialists of the RTA and system coordinators of the Mohammed bin Rashid Smart Majlis. The session covered several points about working with the system and training thereon, along with the optimal methods capable of accelerating the receiving, assessing and processing of ideas & feedbacks daily received by the RTA which hover about 60 cases per day. These cases are examined and responded to within a period not more than 5 days from the date of receiving.
“Amongst the ideas received by the RTA is the provision of dedicated express bus lanes between Metro stations and Dubai Airports in both directions, offering training lessons by driving institutes for training driving license applicants on how to use RTA’s smart apps in reporting traffic accidents, and subjecting driving license applicants to a First Aid course as a precondition for obtaining the driver license. A mechanism has been set to reward owners of innovative ideas. The RTA attaches utmost attention to all ideas and feedbacks received since the launch of the Mohammed bin Rashid Smart Majlis in a bid to bring happiness to people; a goal that ranks number 3 in the pecking order of RTA’s eight strategic goals. Such inputs also enable the RTA to keep pace with the trends of our Government,” explained Mahboub.
“The internal work team examines all ideas and lists the feasible & innovative ones, and flags them for implementation in order to improve the services offered to customers. There are some unfeasible or unacceptable ideas, either for being already in place, or practically unfeasible.
The RTA is making every effort to reach out to the array of its customers spanning citizens, residents, tourists and visitors of Dubai to screen their needs & expectations and heed to their feasible or unfeasible ideas; which in turn will be subjected to further study & modifications to make them viable and contribute to our service offering. The RTA charts out plans necessary for achieving customers’ aspirations and tries to anticipate the trends of their future needs.
“The Mohammed bin Rashid Smart Majlis initiative has opened new and broader horizons enabling us to receive a stream of ideas and feedbacks which are fully attended to in order to fulfill the objectives of the initiative. The entire process will surely add to the fruition of the goals of our government in leveraging government performance to the highest international standards in serving customers and making people happier,” said Mahboub in a concluding remark.
