Statistics by RTA’s Rail Agency revealed that Dubai Metro had transited on Wednesday (23 September) 51 thousand and 861 commuters via ten stations on the Red Line.
Dr. Aysha Al Busmait Director of RTA’s Customer Service Centres pointed out to a number of tips and guidelines to be preferably followed by the public at the stations and on board the trains for the safety of all and carry out the instructions of the stations staff at peak hours to avoid any human congestion on boarding and alighting the metro or when changing the working hours, in addition to ensure the card is charged during the multi-trips.
“Besides these guidelines, there are some pieces of advice for the provided for the commuters including the journey planning, connecting journeys with other public transport modes and the users are also advised to charge their cards, especially at peak hours,”
she continued.
The Nol cards can be purchased from 22 selling outlets distributed all over Dubai, 5 public buses stations, 8 marine transport stations and 9 customers service centres, as well as Spinneys throughout the Emirate.
This step comes to provide the best tariff paying method and reduce the human rush at the metro stations to purchase the cards, pointing out that one card per only one user.
