A smart crime prediction system, a robot that can read and record signatures in transactions and electronic pay devices that enable payment of fines through credit or debit cards on the spot of the violations are a few among the 18 smart services launched by the Dubai Police at Gitex 2016.
At its pavilion at Gitex, Lt.-Gen. Khamis Mattar Al Mazeina, Commander-in-Chief of the Dubai Police, announced that the launch of these new smart services would serve the police’s strategy in promoting security, crime reduction and prevention and detection and arrest of perpetrators. “Some of the smart services launched here are being used for the first time, in a bid to preserve the security, which requires innovative ideas transformed into a smart system,” he said.
The Dubai Police have launched 15 electronic pay devices in police patrols to enable offenders to pay their fines immediately by using credit or debit cards. More info
