Dubai motorists holding credit cards of the Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank can pay their traffic fines in instalments at zero per cent interest, the police have announced.
The fines can be paid in three, six or 12 months, and the minimum payment is Dh500.
The Dubai Police and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank signed an agreement to this effect on Monday.
Brigadier Humaid Salem Al Suwaidi, acting director of finance at the Dubai Police, said the agreement aims at “opening new channels for Dubai Police customers to make them happy”.
“This is in line with the happiness initiative launched by His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.” More info
