UAE residents have been warned to be extra careful as winds kicked up dust and poor visibility to affect some parts of the country on Thursday from 5:00am till 6:30pm.
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) issued a weather alert to warn of poor horizontal visibility of less than 2,000 metres at times due to dust in suspension over scattered areas.
The cumulus clouds may increase over the eastern area in the afternoon with the possibility of rainfall on those areas. Temperatures may also decrease, according to the NCM.
The NCMS also warned that the sea will be rough over the Arabian Gulf offshore areas, especially the western areas. Beachgoers and residents are advised to be cautious while swimming in the various beaches in the region.
Dubai Police warned motorists via Twitter to take extra caution while driving during low visibility. Motorists are urged to take extra caution.
The relative humidity is likely to increase during night and early morning over some coastal and internal areas.
