HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, followed up on the construction progress at the Expo 2020 Dubai site last week, and chaired the Executive Council’s meeting at the next World Expo’s headquarters.
Accoding to Dubai Media Office, during his visit to the site, the Crown Prince was accompanied by HH Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and First Deputy Chairman of the Executive Council.
During the meeting, Sheikh Hamdan said that choosing the Expo 2020 Dubai headquarters as the venue of the meeting was in line with the message issued by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to check developments personally and review work progress.
Shiekh Hamdan praised the World Expo’s team, led by HE Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation, Director General of the Expo 2020 Bureau, adding that preparations were “well under way” to make Expo 2020 Dubai “the best” in the 168-year history of World Expos.
