Using the Dubai Metro this weekend?
Good news, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has extended its timings.
The Dubai Metro was open from 5am Saturday November 16 and will run through to 2am on Sunday November 17 to accommodate those attending the Emirates Loves India Day event.
The event is expected to draw in around 40,000 people at Zabeel Park.
It marks the Festival of Lights, a huge Diwali celebration that will bring together the Indian community and other nationalities from across the UAE and abroad.
There will be music, arts and more from 11am through to 12am.
Artists who will be playing include Badshah, Jonita Gandhi and rock band Avial.
In a tweet, the RTA said: “The operating hours have been extended from Saturday November 16 2024 at 5am to Sunday November 17 at 2am to ensure your comfortable experience and smooth travel to and from the UAE Loves India event.”
