Al Tayer Receives Irish Ambassador To The UAE

H.E. Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board and Executive Director or Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai has received in his office H.E. Ciaran Madden, the Irish Ambassador to the UAE, as part of RTA intent to foster the ongoing cooperative relations at the local, regional and international level.

The meeting reviewed the means of boosting cooperation and exchanging expertise between the RTA and the Irish companies engaged in rail, roads and transportation sectors, and explored the forthcoming roads & infrastructure projects in Dubai.

RTA Chairman and Executive Director briefed the Irish Ambassador on the key projects currently undertaken by the RTA, including a host of new roads, interchanges and crossings on Dubai Creek. Al Tayer stated that he would be looking forward for Irish companies to take part in constructing RTA projects.

“RTA is committed to comply with the best practices in every project phase so as to achieve the intended objectives of providing Safe & Smooth Transport for All, and enhance the profile of Dubai worldwide.

The UAE in general and Dubai in particular are witnessing massive development coupled with an influx of peoples and businesses; which warrants the preparation of the infrastructure, such as road networks as well as multi modal transportation systems comprising Dubai Metro, marine transport modes, buses, taxis … etc, to accommodate the rising growth of population, projects and urbanization” said Al Tayer.

For his part the Irish diplomat congratulated H.E. Mattar Al Tayer on the opening of Dubai Metro Project and stressed that Dubai had once again proved to the world its ability to face and overcome challenges through delivering unprecedented achievements.

He praised the sweeping development witnessed by the emirate of Dubai in a record time; making it a focal point of investors, business leaders and tourists, thanks to the wise leadership of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

He also lamented Dubai Metro project; which has transformed the quality of mobility in the region and added to the beautiful setting of unique projects witnessed by Dubai, besides its key role in providing mobility service to residents and alleviating traffic congestion.
