Dubai-based global developer Emaar Properties has announced Emaar South, its newest mega-development in Dubai South, one of the city’s most sought-after destinations of the future.

In a media statement, Emaar said its new project is minutes from the Al Maktoum International Airport and in easy proximity to the Expo 2020 Dubai site.

Include a dedicated golf district, the 7sq km Emaar South mega-development is one of the key components of the newly planned city, the developer noted.

Emaar South will be a residential destination, serving as home to hundreds of thousands of people expected to work in the various integrated districts of Dubai South, greater Dubai area, and in close proximity to Abu Dhabi, the developer said.

With the 145 sq km airport city quickly taking shape, Emaar said the demand for residences in Dubai South is expected to spike, which it claims will be met by the new Emaar South development.

In addition to people working at the Al Maktoum International Airport, Aviation District and Logistics District, Emaar South is also pegged to be a magnet for the 25 million visitors who will attend Expo 2020 Dubai, and for the millions of travellers who will fly by Al Maktoum International Airport.
