RTA employees share their expertise

Human Resources Department of Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) has recently held a series of workshops delivered by RTA employees winning the Dubai Government Excellence Program (DGEP) Awards in which they reviewed their outstanding experience and efforts culminated in winning this coveted Dubai Government Award. The workshops were held under the theme: “Benefiting from Your Experience”.

“Benefiting from Your Experience seminars covered several important features of these distinguished employees such as their CVs, current & past practical experience, achievements made over the course of education particularly in colleges, academic & occupational certificates achieved, and the distinction, training and development certificates awarded by various entities,” said Kawthar Kazim, Director of Human Resources & Development, RTA Corporate Administrative Support Services Sector.

“RTA distinguished employees also reflected on RTA achievements in which they left considerable legacy, thanks to their dedicated team leadership efforts and innovative concepts that enriched the business of the teams and contributed to the success and excellence of RTA projects. During the seminars, these employees reviewed their experience as far as DGEP is concerned, focusing on preparation and assessment phases and offered tips to their RTA colleagues on the ways & means that can assist them through their pursuit of excellence,” she added.

Kawthar described the holding of “Benefiting from Your Experience” workshops as “an extra credit to these distinguished employees offering them a platform to showcase their achievements; which are also a source of RTA pride as they embellish the impressive RTA record of achievements & strategic initiatives in a variety of fields”. Moreover, the seminars would pave the way for other RTA employees to capitalize on the successful practices and expertise of these distinguished human resources models of the RTA; thus inspiring more employees to engage in this drive in future, she added.

Among the distinguished employees who reviewed their expertise in these workshops was Dr. Khalid Mohammed Al Zahid, the winner of the Distinguished Government Employee Award; Dr. Othman Abdul Rahman Metex, the winner of the Distinguished Employee in the Technical/Engineering Field Award; and Sarah Ishaq and Nour Al Abdouli, who won the Distinguished New Employee Award.
