The Higher Organizing Committee of the Dubai Award for Sustained Transport (DAST) has recently launched a webpage posted as a link on the website of the Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) in a bid to promote DAST online. The move is part of a new strategy pursued by the Committee to present the 3rd edition of the Awards in a way outshining the previous two editions, and showcase the e-services offered by the RTA in keeping with the Dubai eGovernment drive.
According to Dr. Khalid Mohammed Al Zahid, Chairperson of DAST Higher Organizing Committee, launching DAST portal was intended to facilitate the procedures of registering government and semi-government authorities and departments as well as private companies vying for the first three positions in all categories of the Award.
“I expect the launch of this portal will be well received by government and semi-government authorities and departments as well as private businesses interested in taking part in the 3rd edition of the Award this year since e-services offer a speedy platform for processing registration and submissions made to the Award,” said Al Zahid.
“The sitemap of DAST portal comprises several divisions including a brief introductory (About the awards), participation conditions (Who can participate), award criteria, award jury, award prizes, sponsorship details, winners of all award categories, application procedures (Apply now), award categories and sponsor partners,” he continued.
Al Zahid further added that government and semi-government authorities and departments as well as private companies can submit their applications to the 3rd DAST 2010 as of now. The deadline set for receiving participations is 10th December 2010.
