Popular tourist destination Dubai is getting set to open the final stretch of its Metro mass transit system making the Emirate an even more attractive place to visit for foreign tourists.
Most visitors to Dubai have until now had to rely on taxis and hire cars to get them around the place for visits to tourist sites and to go to the state’s shopping malls.
However with the Dubai Metro Red Line set to open fully by October this year getting around the resort will be simpler than ever.
Dubai’s Metro public transport network opened the first 7 station stops on its Red Line earlier this year and locals as well as tourists are looking forward to getting around more easily. The Red Line links Al Rashidiya with Jebel Ali and the entire line, with an additional 11 station stops, will be launched formally in October.
Dubai’s tourism sector can look forward to receiving a boost thanks to the new mass transit system, with the many luxurious hotels Dubai has to offer getting ready for a high number of visitors.
Lek Boonlert, head of marketing at DirectRooms.com, says, “Dubai remains a hugely popular destination with many western tourists and the ability to get around the place more easily will only attract more tourists to the state. Hotels in the Emirate can prepare for a whole new set of foreign visitors arriving on the back of the Metro Red Line launch.”
