The Qatar Railway Company will likely award the logistics co-ordinator contract for the Doha Metro network before the end of this year, according to a statement from a company official.
Ghanim Hassan al-Ibrahim, chief programme officer of the project said that the company will be adopting the ‘best logistics practices’ to ensure greater fluidity of the projects development.
It is estimated that the first phase be completed by October 2019, leaving ample time for the arrival of FIFA inspectors, who will complete a full suitability assessment of the city in June 2020, in advance of the highly-anticipated FIFA World Cup 2022. More info
