DTC Participates in a Professional Course on Management of Taxi Vehicles in Doha

Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC) of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) took part in a professional course on Taxi Vehicles Management organized by the Middle East and North Africa Transportation Excellence Centre (MENA CTE) in the Qatari capital, Doha, which aimed at exchanging expertise and knowledge in the field of taxi fleet management and to achieve its vision “Pioneers in Passenger Transport Services”.

Mr. Mansour Rahmah Al Falasi, Acting CEO of DTC, said that a host of senior officials in the Corporation took part in the course which included a number of topics mainly: Public Transport and Development of Integrated Policies to Achieve Exclusive and Sustainable Transport, Patterns of Public Transport with Focus on Taxi Vehicles, Laws and Legislations that Regulate the Operation of Taxi Vehicles, Operation and Maintenance of Taxi Vehicles, Corporate Management and Qualities of Distinctive Taxi Vehicle Operators (Organizational Structure, Marketing, Quality, Human Resources and Expenses Management).

He added that the door of discussion and channels of dialogue were open between the participants from the operation of taxi vehicles sector, in addition to conducting technical visits to the Taxi Department in Qatar to discuss issues on the ground which helped the participants work on tackling observations and topics related to transport, and to improve services and initiatives that lead to the development of the Corporation and achieve its objectives and strategy.

Moreover, he stressed that the Corporation seeks, through such participations and external courses, to enhance and promote the culture of knowledge and exchanges of experiences among its staff and to qualify its cadres of all categories to cope with the development and new directives of the government, as well as attracting ideas and projects that contribute in coping with all the advancements in all sectors as a whole and the taxi vehicles sector in particular.
