Dubai is now the sixth most popular destination for people willing to move abroad for work, according to a new study by the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and The Network.
The report, entitled ‘Decoding Global Talent 2018’, found that 57 percent of 366,000 workers in 197 countries queried around the world said they would be willing to move abroad for work, a 7 percent decrease over the last time the study was conducted in 2014.
Of potential destinations around the world, London was found to be the most popular, with 22 percent of respondents saying they would consider a move there.
The British capital was followed by New York (16 percent), Berlin (15 percent), Barcelona (15 percent) and Amsterdam (14 percent).
Dubai, which rose five places in the rankings, came in sixth, with 12 percent of respondents saying they would weigh a move here. The emirate came ahead of Los Angeles (11 percent), Paris (11 percent), Sydney (9 percent) and Tokyo (8 percent).
The UAE’s capital, Abu Dhabi, came in 14th place. In general, the United Arab Emirates was found to be among the most sought after work destinations for people in the Middle East and Africa. More
