Dubai: Five finalists have been chosen after the preliminary stages of the Kids Got Talent competition at Dubai Festival City Mall that drew hundreds of entries from children of diverse nationalities, organisers said.

Launched on September 23, the talent show has been drawing people from around Dubai to witness auditions in a variety of disciplines including, singing, dancing and sports.

Last week’s audition witnessed the selection of five contenders aged six to 15 by the show’s judging panel. The ‘D Fashionista Girls’, Ian Cris Tocle, Tia Grace Hannawi and Kerwin Tarriela Buenafe are set to perform in the semi-finals on October 26.

Denise Chamassian, senior marketing manager at Dubai Festival City Mall said: “I am extremely happy with the outcome of this wonderful event. Talent competitions have become very popular in the GCC and Middle East and Festival Centre’s Kids Got Talent is an innovative children’s version of these shows. Our objective at Dubai Festival City Mall is to nurture young talent and provide children with an opportunity to shine in a wide variety of disciplines.” More info
