Dubai: Motorists paying for parking by SMS will have to use new parking codes ‘C’ and ‘D’ for mParking in non-commercial parking areas where signboards with new codes have been set up.
According to a statement from the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), new parking codes ‘C’ and ‘D’ have been activated in non-commercial parking areas where the new boards have been set up.
The mobile or SMS parking system has started to accept the new codes for payment of parking fees in areas such as Al Wasl, Al Nahda, Al Quoz, Hor Al Anz, etc.
Those using parking machines can continue to pay using coins and cards without any hassle, while all existing seasonal parking cards will be valid according to their categories till the expiry dates of the cards.
The RTA in a statement said that the ‘A’ category valid seasonal parking card holders can use their cards in all zones A, B, C and D, while B category valid seasonal parking card holders can use their cards in zones B and D. More info
