Dubai Taxi briefs strategic partners on standards of Best Partner Award

The Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC), Roads & Transport Authority (RTA), has recently held its semi-annual Strategic Partners Gathering 2012 comprising representatives of public and private agencies. The gathering, which was held at DTC premises in Muhaisna, was meant to explain the standards, conditions and details of the Best Partner Award with the aim of furthering the cooperative links, boosting mutual relations and forging effective partnerships in various fields.

The gathering was attended by Yousef Al Ali, CEO of DTC; Mansour Al Falasi, Director of Resources & Support; Ammar bin Tamim, Director of Fleet Drivers Affairs; Mohammed Yousef, Director of Fleet Operations; and Noorah Al Mulla, Manager of Quality, Health and Safety in addition to several managers, specialists and senior staff of the DTC as well as representatives of its strategic partners.

Engineer Yousef Al Ali welcomed attendees and thanked strategic partners for showing readiness to support DTC’s efforts & initiatives towards realizing its objectives and vision (Pioneers in Passenger Transport Services). He revealed that 8 entities have been selected as strategic partners namely: Al Futtaim Motors, Arabian Automobiles Company (Nissan), Juma Al Majid Motors (Hyundai), Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (Dubai Airports), Emirates Petroleum Products Company (EPPCO), Dobowi Tyres Co, Emirates Islamic Bank, and Public Transport Agency.

Al Ali stressed the importance of this gathering in explaining the details of the Best Strategic Partner Award for 2012; which was launched last year in the annual gathering of partners. “The DTC is always seeking to support its partners through heeding to their needs and improving bilateral relations. It pays utmost attention to the broadening & upgrading of various services offered to taxi users in the Emirate, and commends partners efforts in backing the projects & initiatives in hand with the aim of achieving the intended integration with other public transit means,” he continued.

“The Award is built on a host of standards that include: supporting & sponsoring strategic projects of the DTC, signing a MoU with the DTC & showing a commitment to work as a community-responsible entity, running joint-venture improvement projects or initiatives, number of visits & meetings held with DTC representatives, posting DTC name along with an introductory briefing and a link citing it as a strategic partner in the website of the entity, sharing knowledge with the DTC in expertise, practices and benchmarks, commitment to measuring & realizing the satisfaction of customers, and mapping out well-defined channels for addressing customer complaints.

“Nomination and assessment process will be conducted through a 2-5 pages report compiled by the partner, and an internal committee will assess the report against the standards set, assign scores, and submit results to the CEO for endorsement. The winner will be honoured in the Open House of Strategic Partners by the end of this year where it will be awarded DTC trophy together with a Certificate of Commendation & Appreciation. The winning entity will also be offered advertising spaces on DTC website as well as on 100 taxicabs (100×50 cm) for one year, have a press release made about the winner, and 200 free ride coupons will be distributed to employees of the winning entity.
