Dubai:Â The Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC), Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), has set up an ad-hoc emergency team which will remain on duty during the Eid holidays to ensure the response to all needs of customers and drivers manning the fleet is managed smoothly.
“This team has been set up to attend to daily routines, and respond to inquiries received during Eid holidays. The team will submit a final report on the input, results and recommendations concluded or to be acted upon in future,” said Abdul Aziz Malek, CEO of Dubai Taxi Corporation.
“DTC will continue to offer its taxi services during this holiday through this team which has been set up to track the operation and maintenance processes of taxicabs, upholstery of vehicles, accidents and traffic offences formalities, renewal and ownership of vehicles, issuance of vehicle insurance policies, daily revenues and stock, buying and disposing of materials, electronic systems and taxi meters in addition to the handling of complaints, lost items and suggestions.
It also attends to drivers services such as taking over and delivering driver passports in emergency cases as well as sick and annual leaves, training of drivers, and daily follow-up of driver attitudes and daily business,” Malek said.
He stressed that DTC would stand ready to receive customer requests for taxi services and despatch taxicabs to a variety of residential districts, shopping malls across the emirate and Dubai Metro stations, besides executing booking and despatch requests, and ensure communication through 04-2080808.
