Dubai Taxi signs MoU with Ayedat Holding (KSA)

The Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC), Roads & Transport Authority (RTA), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ayedat Holding (Saudi Arabia) to enhance mutual cooperation between both parties in the fields of fleet operational management, drivers management & training, exchange of expertise and creating new opportunities & potentials in the field of fleet management and taxi processes.

The Agreement was signed on behalf of the DTC by its CEO Abdul Aziz Malik, and on behalf of Ayedat Holding by its Executive President Abdul Karim Al Araij, in the presence of senior DTC executives including the Director of Fleet Operation Yousef Al Ali, Director of Resources & Support Ali Mattar, Director of Fleet Drivers Affairs Ammar bin Tamim and the Legal Advisor Kaltham Hassan Ali.

According to Abdul Aziz Malik, the purpose of signing the MoU is to enhance the co-operative relations in the field of fleet management and operation, carry out training & qualifying of drivers, and harness the expertise of both bodies to open up new horizons of cooperation and exchange in various fields of common expertise and interest, as the programs to be initiated through this MoU are based on a spirit of co-operation, reciprocity, and mutual benefit to both parties.

“This MoU will also lay the ground work to provide the framework for an eventual joint venture, partnership or other business association arrangement between DTC and Ayedat. The two parties have appointed representatives to act as official contact and coordinate points of the activities of the DTC & Ayedat in carrying out the cooperative principles agreed to in the interests of both parties, and encouraging their ongoing liaison with the aim of establishing effective & continuous communication and co-operation,” added Al Malik.

For his part, the Executive President of Ayedat Holding Ahmed Abdul Karim Al Araij, expressed his delight with the signing of this MoU and working side by side with the RTA in general and DTC in particular stating that the Co. would be looking forward to enhance this partnership in the near future.

“Ayedat Holding, the Chairman of which is Prince Salman bin Mohammed Al Saoud, is a diversified holding company based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and was founded in 2007 in order to provide strategic guidance and assistance in restructuring plans for several companies & subsidiaries that are owned by group of prominent Saudi investors.

“Furthermore; Ayedat Holding is committed to nurturing and fostering innovative and unique investment ideas that will have valuable and viable contribution to the local economy in return. Ayedat Holding has been identifying investment opportunities and bringing them to Saudi Arabia in cooperation with global and regional entities that have a pioneering command and knowhow as well as the technical expertise required for developing these projects. Hence the signing of this MoU with the DTC is just an example under this drive.

“The signing of this MoU culminates the visit recently made by the Co. to the RTA with the aim of reviewing RTA’s expertise in offering taxi service at the Dubai International Airport, and benefiting from it in the privatization of the taxi service in Saudi Arabia’s airports project. The RTA has achieved immense projects in a record time involving the construction of main traffic networks and upgrading mass transit systems, such as the Dubai Metro project; which has added a touch of quality to the city of Dubai,” said Al Araij in a final comment.
