The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) confirmed that the key topics to be discussed in the 3rd edition of the Dubai International Project Management Forum (22-25th October 2016) fully match with the UAE Strategy for Shaping the Future; which indicates that the Forum is consistent with the UAE’s vision.

Ms. Laila Faridoon, Executive Director of the Office of the Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the RTA, said, “The slogan of the 3rd DIPMF of ‘Shaping the Future’ is consistent with UAE’s Strategy for the Future, which reiterates our commitment to support the future objectives of the UAE. The theme of the Forum “Future Cities” also echoes the UAE’s Strategy in other sectors such as education, health, transport infrastructure and water resources, as well as water & food security.

Such a strategy is replicated in developing strategic plans for shaping the future of such sectors, identifying the anticipated transitional, challenges, and developing the skills required to tackle such challenges. The sustainable project management and Public-Private Partnership themes also befit the UAE’s strategy in other sectors such as energy, minerals, water resources, sustainability, environment and climate change. These are reflected in charting out strategies for the anticipated challenges and overcoming them in order to make these partnerships a success and ensure sustainability of their projects

“The theme of the Youth Projects Management Forum echoes the UAE’s strategy for the economic and commercial security sector as well as human capital and innovation sector in terms of shaping the future of the population & young people and identifying their impact on the economy and the labor market since the theme is also associated with economic security.

The theme of the forum in relation to leadership in multicultural environment is associated with the UAE’s strategy in the positive & happy life environment sector, electronic security sector, as well as international, political and security relations which jointly contribute to nurturing an environment capable of disseminating tolerance, advocating co-existence and embracing multi-cultures in the UAE.

The theme related to talents management copes with the UAE’s strategy in human capital and innovation sector as well as the sustainable community development sector in terms of envisaging and shaping the future trends and identifying their impact on the development of community, besides honing talents and leveraging efficiency in a way that ensures sustainable community development. Faridoon

“The objectives of 3rd Dubai International Project Management Forum are aligned with the UAE’s strategy for shaping the future in several sectors. This reflects that uniform objectives, despite their apparent differences, all share a common goal. The previous edition of the DIPMF entitled  “Project Management Supports Innovation,” held concurrently with the UAE’s Innovation Week, which signals our commitment to promote the UAE’s objectives and realize its ambitions to ensure the welfare and prosperity for the entire society,” noted Faridoon.
