The Department of Transport (DoT) will launch the country’s first fully electric bus service in the capital city on September 23.
The service, which is part of a multi-billion-dirham transport network system that includes tramways, metro and railways connecting all emirates and neighbouring countries, will be announced by Saeed Fadel Al Hameli, Advisor, Surface Transport at the DoT.
The launch also includes a presentation on the future high-tech transportation services of the emirate expected to be completed and operational by the end of 2015. The project is being launched by the DoT in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Municipality, Traffic Department and other relevant establishments. More info
