Emaar Properties has announced that it has completed a project with telecoms provider du that has seen a free wi-fi service being installed all of the way around Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard in Downtown Dubai – the major promenade encircling the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall.
The company said that wi-fi has been rolled out for the full length of the 3.5km boulevard in line with the recent Smart City initiative announced for the Emirate by Dubai’s ruler, HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Emaar Malls Group CEO Nasser Rafi said: “Downtown Dubai is the most-visited lifestyle destination in the city, and the introduction of free Wi-Fi service along Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard will add to the convenience of visitors.”
