Real estate developer Emaar on Sunday issued a statement after sections of The Dubai Mall were affected by heavy rain, that caused water to enter the mall’s ground floor, some shops, and its parking area. (Watch video here)
“Dubai Mall was affected by the heavy rainfall, causing leakages in limited areas. We are working to contain all leakages and the mall remains operational and open to the public.
Mall staff are on the ground, ensuring the visitor experience remains unaffected,” an Emaar spokesperson said.
