Over 27,000 people visited and experienced the full family of Emirates’ commercial, training and executive aircraft on display at the Dubai Airshow this year.
The airline was also honoured to welcome His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai as well as crown princes, sheikhs and royals, ministers and government dignitaries onboard its display aircraft.
Emirates also welcomed over 15,000 people at its modern exhibition stand, which featured the new Boeing 777-300 First Class suite exhibit.
Emirates’ full family of aircraft consisting of the airline’s 100th A380, its latest Boeing 777-300ER with new cabin interiors, the Emirates Executive A319 aircraft, and the Cirrus SR 22 and Embraer Phenom 100 jets for cadet training, were on display this year at the Dubai Airshow. Both Emirates’ Boeing 777-300ER and A380 aircraft were decorated with the “Year of Zayed” decal as a tribute to the late founding father of the UAE.
Emirates began the Dubai Airshow with the global unveiling of the game-changing Boeing 777-300ER First Class suite.
The redesigned First Class suites included floor to ceiling sliding doors and sleek design features, along with a number of world-first commercial aviation innovations.
The new suites offer up to 40 square feet of personal space each, and are laid out in a 1-1-1 configuration.
In addition to the First Class cabin, both Business and Economy Class cabins also received a refresh incorporating a number of enhancements.
The new Boeing 777-300ER will commence service on 1 December, serving Geneva and Brussels.
Emirates also announced a landmark US$ 15.1 billion (AED 55.4 billion) commitment for 40 Boeing 787-10 Dreamliners. More info
