Following the memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed with The Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) recently; First Gulf Bank has inaugurated today its new metro station in the presence of Mr. Andre Sayegh, CEO of FGB and other seniors from the bank. The metro station is located on Sheikh Zayed Road and is in close proximity to the Bank’s Branch offices.
This partnership with RTA is a testament of FGB’s unwavering support to being part of DUBAI METRO, a cornerstone of the Road and Transport Authority’s (RTA) vision for an integrated public transport system in Dubai, whilst playing an active & constructive role in encouraging practices that develop and enhance sustainable transportation.
Mr. Andre Sayegh, CEO of FGB, commented: “Today, we celebrate our partnership with one of the world’s most advanced Metro systems. We are delighted to support RTA’s efforts to improve the daily experience of commuting around the city of Dubai. It is our profound wish to help spread the message of getting into the habit of using public transportation, and we are delighted to hear that the number of commuters using the Metro is growing daily”.
Mr. Abdulwahed Juma, Head of Corporate Affairs of FGB added: “This is another step towards becoming part of Dubai’s sustainable future and we are thrilled that this station will be a constant incentive to be part of an environmentally sensitive community”.
The FGB station features four FGB ATM machines to enhance the passengers’ convenience and holds plans in the future to showcase more banking facilities within the station.
