DUBAI // Five stations on the Metro’s Red Line are expected to open next month, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has said, leaving just three of the 29 stops on the line to be completed.
The Business Bay, First Gulf Bank, Sharaf DG, Jumeirah Lake Towers and Nakheel stations will open in mid-October, the RTA said at a press conference. The agency said last month that some stops would not open before the end of this year because of a lack of development around them.
The RTA also confirmed that the Green Line, which will intersect with the Red Line, is expected to begin operations in August of next year.
