On the fifth anniversary of Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), all NOL card holders can enjoy free rides on the Metro, waterbuses and city buses.
The announcement was made by Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the and Executive Director of the RTA while addressing the 125th anniversary of the International Association of Public Transport in Brussels, reported Gulf News.
NOL cards can be used on any of the RTA transport facilities.
The RTA network presently has 1,500 buses covering 300,000 kilometres a day.
He said the 23-kilometre Dubai Metro Green Line will be operational in August 2011. The line that begins at Etisalat Station on Al Nahda Road would include 18 stations, six of them underground.
