To experience this spectacular city to the fullest, you’ll want to explore

Dubai has an advanced public transport system including a state-of-the-art metro system, buses and taxis on our multi-lane highways.

The Dubai Metro’s red line ‘World Trade Centre Station’ serves the exhibition centre, offering maximum convenience to tens of thousands of visitors every day.

The route connects the exhibition centre with Dubai International Aiport and all stops throughout the city’s sights, malls and hotel districts, including some of the best views of the city! Free parking is available at Rashidiya and Nakheel Harbour (near Ibn Battuta Mall) to encourage park-and-ride. Check the official guide to plan your metro trip.

Taxis are plentiful and affordable in Dubai and operated by RTA through five companies (denoted by different colour roofs). All RTA taxis are metered at the same rate, with the exception of the ‘pink’ ladies-only cabs for which there is a small surcharge.  To book a taxi from any pick up point of your choice call 04 2080808 (24hrs, operated in Arabic and English). At the Exhibition Venue, the taxi rank is located at E on the venue map. Note that at peak periods there will be queues, and a taxi-sharing system is likely to be in operation.

Bus services operate on 62 routes linking various residential and the industrial areas with the two central business districts. Buses are modern, clean and airconditioned.

About 150 Abras (traditional boats made of wood) transport people across the Dubai Creek seating around 20 passengers each, a convenient and fun way to travel. They transport approximately 15 million passengers every year. For yet another option of travel, choose the waterbus system, a collection of comfortable and stylish motor-powered boats stopping at all major tourist attractions along the Dubai Creek.

Nol Cards enable you to pay for the use of various RTA transport modes in Dubai. Use your Nol Card to travel on Dubai’s Metro, Buses, Water Buses and Paid Parking. Find out more at the official site…
