Parts of UAE, including Dubai and Sharjah, witnessed light rainfall today afternoon, providing a welcome break from the sweltering heat.
The rain, accompanied by cool winds, brought temperature down by a couple of degrees, and may well signal the end of the long summer spell.
‘The rain is such a welcome relief. I hope it doesn’t get hot after this,’ said Abdulla, a Khaleej Times surfer on Facebook.
The National Center of Meteorology & Seismology hasn’t issued a formal warning on its website, but drivers are requested to exercise caution as dust and rain may lead to low visibility. More info
