Addressing a huge gathering of employees working on the Dubai Metro, Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of the RTA, paid tribute to their hard work and efforts in completing the prestigious Metro project on time. “The RTA commends your work for extended hours; particularly during the daytime under soaring temperatures. We will always remain keen on providing a healthy environment for labourers at all our sites,” he said.

Al Tayer was accompanied by Abdul Majeed Al Khaja, CEO of the RTA’s Rail Agency and Eisa Abdullah Al Ghurair, Vice-President of ETA Star Holding LLC.

Al Tayer also gave workers some safety tips.

The campaign will run for a week and Rail Agency employees will take part in a number of activities including the distribution of water, refreshments and dehydration salts among workers at the various Dubai Metro construction sites.
