The Ministry of Interior called upon motorists to fully comply with traffic rules and regulations and legal speed limits on roads, in order to avoid traffic accidents and their resulting tragic injuries and losses during Eid al-Adha holidays.

Brigadier Ghaith Hassan Al Zaabi, Director General of the Traffic Coordination Department at the Ministry of Interior, stressed the need to abide by traffic police’s instructions and to drive carefully especially near malls and markets.

He also urged motorists to leave sufficient safe distance between vehicles to avoid obstructing traffic by parking randomly or inappropriately in public parking spaces, avoid using parking spaces dedicated for people with disabilities, or parking spaces allocated for

Civil Defense and ambulance vehicles, so as not to impede their work in emergency cases.

He said all traffic and patrols departments across the UAE have intensified patrols on highways and city roads to ensure a smooth traffic flow, prevent congestion and handle potential emergencies that could mar the joy of these blessed days. More info
