New Dubai housing plan to be set for Emiratis

Dubai Municipality will draft a housing plan to meet the needs of UAE nationals, set to be presented by December.

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai and the Chairman of the Executive Council, said on social media that he asked the municipality to draft a housing plan that will “meet the projected needs of UAE nationals for the next 30 years”.

He said the outline should be given top priority and presented “within a month” to kickstart the implementation phase. “The quality of life of UAE citizens is Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid’s priority and providing affordable housing is an integral part of ensuring their well-being,” Sheikh Hamdan said.

Currently, the UAE Government allocates land, provides free housing or housing loans which Emiratis may apply for through the Housing Allocation Committee at the Ministry of Presidential Affairs. More info
