    Excitement is building as the launch of the Dubai Metro gets closer but for those who can’t wait, check out our rapidly growing video library.Although the rail system does not officially open until September 9, when 10 stations on the Red Line will be operational, a number of people have already taken amateur footage of what it is like to ride the metro and, below, Arabian Business brings you the best videos posted on the internet so far.

    Fines of AED100 will be handed out to anyone caught eating or drinking on the Dubai Metro, it was reported on Tuesday.

    And penalties will rise to AED500 for offences such as destroying, damaging or tampering with devices, equipment or seats of public transport facilities and services.

    A AED200 fine awaits any passenger who tries to use the metro system without a valid ticket.
