Dubai: Several Dubai Metro passengers were left stranded during a rush hour on Sunday evening after a technical snag delayed train services on the Red Line.
At least 100 passengers were left stranded on the Rashidiya platform of Business Bay metro station after a train has not moved since a little past 7 pm.
An oncoming train from Jebel Ali was also forced to stop halfway, just several metres from the Business Bay station, and wait for the services to resume.
Gulf News was at the scene where a huge crowd of passengers were waiting for the suspended trains to restart.
“Services on the Red Line are experiencing delays due to some technical difficulties. Please wait for further announcement,” a voice over a public announcement system said.
Services resumed at 7.40pm. More info
