Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is currently in Saudi Arabia on an official visit, visited construction workers while in the Kingdom.Â
L&T is part of a consortium constructing Saudi’s Riyadh Metro project.
His visit comes on the heels of a labour agreement inked between both countries.
Modi met with workers at the L&T workers’ residential complex in Riyadh.
“Your hard work has brought me here,” Modi said to the workers, the Indian government’s Press Information Bureau said.
He is said to have shared a meal with the workers, and spent time with them to hear their “thoughts and experiences”. Â More info
