Apple’s iPhone 6s was the most searched for query in the UAE, according to Google’s annual ‘Year in Search’ report.
The top ten lists offer a perspective on the year’s major moments and compile the top trends based on searches conducted in the UAE.
The most searched for person was in UAE was Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, as people searched the late royal’s life accomplishments following his untimely passing earlier this year.
The iPhone 6s earned the top spot for consumer electronics searches in 2015, and Adele’s ‘Hello’ topped the trending song search chart. Among the biggest trending brands for 2015 were Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, Souq.com and Dubai Electricity and Water Authority. More info
