The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai has recently received a visiting delegation from the Kingdom of Norway led by HE Jens Eikaas, Norwegian Ambassador to the UAE.
The delegation also included Minna Crozier, Commercial Advisor of The Royal Norwegian Embassy; and several representatives of the Norwegian Boat Manufacturer (Baotservies). The visit was part of joint efforts to share expertise and knowledge in boat manufacturing.
Commenting on the visit, Abdulla Yousef Al Ali, CEO of RTA’s Public Transport Agency said, “The delegation of Baotservies Company delivered a visual presentation highlighting the abilities & experience of the Company in the manufacturing of boats & marine transit modes along with the massive development seen by the industry.
The meeting also reviewed RTA’s experience in fitting marine transit modes with electric propulsion systems and the prospects of cooperation between the two parties.
“These meetings are part of RTA’s efforts to enhance the cooperation with global businesses in various fields to gain experience and benefit from the introduction of latest technologies.
Marine transit modes feature high amongst RTA’s projects portfolio as Dubai residents, visitors and tourists fancy the picturesque & glittering Dubai Beaches and the stunning skyline at the backdrop.
