Dr. Aysha Al Busmait, Director of the marketing &corporate communication, Chairwoman of Woman Committee, Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) recently received a delegation of Al Dana Woman Committee, Rashid Hospital, Dubai Health Authority to review the key achievements made by RTA Woman Committee over the past few years.

Dubai metroDuring the gathering, which took place at RTA Head Office in the presence of members of both committees, Dr. Aysha praised the interaction with other community segments concerned with the working woman; which she says contributes to raising the profile and role of women as a key component of the community. “Some of the Dubai Government entities have established specific arenas for women committees to work; which bears strong reference to the awareness of these leaders and their attitudes towards offering women sufficient room to innovate and showcase their skills in communicating with others; a practice bound to have boost women’s self-confidence in doing better jobs.

“The main objective of establishing Women Committees is to enhance the role of women in the workplace & community, and offer them ample opportunities to communicate with all spectrums of the community, particularly their counterparts inside or outside the working environment. This prompts us to encourage all agencies and authorities in Dubai, as well as other Emirates, to set up their respective women committees in a bid to meet the aspirations of our wise leadership of granting women their communal rights and motivating them to do more and become more creative,” added Dr. Aysha.

For her part Muna Al Mass, Chairwoman of Al Dana Woman Committee, Rashid Hospital, expressed her delight with this communication; which she described as: “the inaugural step believed to bring about a host of benefits that have duly been taken into consideration. The Committee has had exposure to the activities & future plans of the RTA Women Committee, and gained a clear view about the framework of RTA Women Committee as the RTA took early action in establishing its Woman Committee and has expertise worthy for us to benefit from.”

“The gathering was useful in reviewing the methodology of the Master Plan of RTA Woman Committee, the foundation of the committee and how to overcome challenges encountered. We have also reviewed the various activities undertaken by the Woman Committee through which we perceived the remarkable diversity of religious, sports, and recreational activities as well as communal visits among others. We have also taken into consideration the need of allocating a special budget for Al Dana Committee such that we will be able to showcase our activities & events within the allotted budget.
