RTA and Dubai Customs Eid working hours announced

Dubai: Car parking at all the paid zones in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Dubai, except the Fish Market in Dubai, will be free from Friday till the third day of Eid (Monday, August 20 or Tuesday, August 21, depending on moon sighting), while Dubai Metro will operate extended hours from 5am until 1am.

The Roads and Transport Authority’s (RTA) customer service centres as well as vehicle testing centres and driving schools will remain closed until the third day of Eid.

However, all transport services, including water taxis, buses and inter-city bus routes will work as usual.

The Metro services will start at 5.50am during holidays while the feeder bus services will start at 6am and will operate till 1am.

Bus services at main bus stations — Al Ghubaiba and Gold Souq — as well as at the subsidiary stations — Satwa, Al Ghusais, Al Quoz and Jebel Ali — will remain open between 6am and 12 midnight.

Intercity buses from Al Ghubaiba will operate 24 hours with buses to Sharjah running every 10 minutes while other buses on interstate routes from other stations will run between 6am and midnight.

Marine transit systems will also remain open through the Eid holidays with the water bus running from 7am to 10pm, water taxi from 10am to 10pm, and Ferry Dubai from 9am to 9pm.

The Dubai Customs centres at Dubai Cargo Village, Hatta Customs Centre, Customs Declaration Management at Port Rashid, Coastal Berth Customs Centre and Creek Entry Customs Centre shall operate on a 24/7 basis throughout the official holiday.

Customs Posts at Dubai International Airport (Terminal 1, 2 & 3) will operate round the clock during Eid to facilitate smooth process for incoming passengers.

The working hours at Dubai International Airport Free Zone Inspection Centrre will be from 7am to 10pm. Hamriya Port Customs centre will open from 8 am to 1 pm.

Sharjah

Sharjah parks in residential neighbourhoods will be open all Eid from 8am until 1pm and again from 4pm until 10pm, while the National Park will be open from 8am to 10pm.

Public parking will be free starting from the 29th of Ramdan until the third day of Eid Al Fitr. More info
