RTA announces timing of services during Eid Al-Adha holiday

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the working hours of all services during the holiday marking the advent of Eid Al-Adha holiday covering customers’ happiness centres, paid parking zones, public buses, Dubai Metro & Tram, marine transit modes, driving institutes, and vehicles testing & registration centres.

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the working hours of all services during the holiday marking the advent of Eid Al-Adha holiday covering customers’ happiness centres, paid parking zones, public buses, Dubai Metro & Tram, marine transit modes, driving institutes, and vehicles testing & registration centres.

Yousef Al Rida, CEO of Corporate Administrative Support Services, RTA, said, “RTA’s Customers Happiness Centers will be closed for Eid Al-Adha holiday from Thursday 31st August, and will resume service on Monday, Sept 4, 2017. All paid parking zones in Dubai, except Multi-level Parking lots, will be free of charge from Thursday 31st August 2017, and fees will be restored on Monday, Sept 4, 2017.

“During the Eid holiday, the Dubai Metro Red Line Stations will operate on Thursday 31st August from 5:30 am to 2:00 am (of the following day) and on Friday 1 September from 10:00 am to 2:00 am (of the following day).  On Saturday 2 September 2017, these stations will operate from 5:50 am up to 2:00 am (of the following day), and on Sunday 3 September 2017 from 5:30 am up to 2:00 am (of the following day). The Express Metro Service will not be available on Saturday 2 September 2017.

“The Green Line stations will operate on Thursday 31st August 2017 from 5:50 am up to 2:00 am (of the following day). On Friday 1 September 2017, these stations will open from 10:00 am to 2:00 am (of the following day), and from Saturday 2 September to Sunday 3 September 2017 from 5:50 am to 2:00 am (of the following day).

On Thursday 31st August 2017, the Dubai Tram will operate from 06:30 am to 01:00 am (of the following day). On Friday 1 September 2017, the Tram will start operation at 09:00 am and terminate the service at 01:00 am (of the following day). From Saturday 2 September 2017 to Sunday 3 September 2017, the Tram will be in operation from 06:30 am to 01:00 am (of the following day).

“The service time of public buses (Dubai Bus) during the holiday will be as follows: Main Public Bus Stations such as the Gold Souq will open from 5:00 am to 12:00 am (midnight). Al Ghubaiba Station will open from 5:00 am to 12:00 am (midnight). In subsidiary stations, such as Satwa Station, buses will operate from 5:00 am to 11:45 pm except for Route C01, which will be operating around-the-clock. Al Qusais Station will open from 5:00 am to 12:00 am (midnight), Al Quoz Industrial Station from 5:00 am to 11:30 pm, and Jebel Ali Station from 5:00 am to 12:00 am (midnight).

“The Metro Feeder Bus Stations at Rashidya, Mall of the Emirates, Ibn Battuta, Burj Khalifa, Abu Hail and Etisalat will operate from 5:00 am to 2:10 am (after midnight). The timing of all metro feeder bus service will match the timing of metro service.
“The Inter-City bus service will operate as follows: At Main Bus Stations, such as Al Ghubaiba, the service will be running 24/7 to Sharjah (Jubail Station) and from 4:30 am to 12:00 (midnight) to Abu Dhabi.

At subsidiary stations, such as the Union Square, the service will be running from 4:30 am to 1:25 am (of the following day).  Ther service timing will be from 6:15 am to 1:30 am (of the following day) at Al Sabkha Station, and from 5:35 am to 11:30 pm at Deira City Center Station. Karama Station will open from 6:10 am to 10:20 pm and Al Ahli Club Station will offer service from 5:55 am to 10:15 pm.

The service timing at external stations will be as follows: Sharjah Route (Al Taawon) from 5:30 am to 10:00 pm, Ajman Route from 4:27 am to 11:00 pm, Fujairah Route from 5:30 am to 9:30 pm and Hatta Route from 5:30 am to 9:30 pm.

“ Al-Rida pointed that on Friday 1 Sept, Marine transit modes will operate as follows: Water Bus from Marina Station (Marina Mall, Marina Walk, Marina Terrace, Marina Promenade) from 12:00 (at noon) to 12:00 (midnight), and Water Taxi working hours will be from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm.

“Dubai Ferry at Al Ghubaiba and Dubai Marina stations will run five services daily at each station: at 11:00 am, 1:00 pm, 3:00 pm, 5:00 pm and 6:30 pm.

At the Dubai Water Canal Station, the Ferry will shuttle between Al Jaddaf Station and Dubai Water Canal Station offering three daily services at 10:00 am, 12:00 (at noon), and 5:30 pm. From Dubai Water Canal Station to Al Jaddaf Station, it will operate three journeys at 12:05 (at noon), 2:05 pm and 7:35 pm, and at the Sheikh Zayed Station, it will run daily round trip service from 06:00 pm to 12:00 midnight.

“Electric Abras will be operating during Eid Al-Adha holiday at Burj Khalifa from 6:00 pm to 11:30 pm, at Al Jaddaf Station and Baniyas Station (two directions) from 04:00 pm to 11:00 pm. At Al Mamzar Station, Electric Abras will operate (from Thursday 31st August to Saturday 2 September 2017) from 02:00 pm to 12:00 (midnight). Traditional Abras will operate from Dubai Creek Station (Baniyas, Old Dubai Souq) from Friday 1 Sept 2017 and throughout Eid holiday from 12:00 (mid-noon) to 12:00 (midnight), and at Sheikh Zayed Road Station from 04:00 pm up to 11:30 pm. Air-conditioned Abras at Al Jaddaf, Dubai Festival City will be operating from 7:00 am to 12:00 (midnight).

Service providing centres offering Vehicles Testing & Registration services will be off duty from Thursday 31st August 2017 and throughout Eid Al Adha holiday 1438 Hijri. They will resume duty on Monday, Sept 4, 2017,” concluded Al-Rida. More info
