In a meeting chaired by Mr HE Mattar Al Tayer chairman of the Board and Executive Director of the Roads and Transport Authority, the RTA Board of Directors has recently awarded a contract for the construction of internal roads at Al Warqaa 1, 2, 3 and 4 against a total cost of AED 156.631 million.
The Contract comes in line with RTA’s efforts to improve roads network and serve the needs of urban & demographic expansion in the Emirate under its vision of Providing Safe & Smooth Transport for All.
Mr Al Tayer said that “The Internal Roads Project at Al Warqaa 1, 2, 3 and 4 which spans an area of 1,545 hectares, comprises road construction and lighting works extending 125 kilometers which cover improvements of existing roads stretching 36 kilometers works also include the construction of roadside parking slots and car parks for some mosques and government schools in the area along with all necessary works such as road marking and traffic signals.”
