A delegation from the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) visited the Dubai Sports Council to be updated of its experience in the preparation and work mechanisms that qualified it to acquire the ISO 20121:2012 category (Event Sustainability Management Systems) as it’s the first government agency to acquire such a certificate in the Middle East.
The delegation watched a visual presentation delivered by Dr. Shireen Abu Al Haijaa, quality specialist at the Strategic Management and Corporate Performance in the Council during which she tackled the standards abided by in the ISO certificate mainly this new introduced category, the mechanism of implementing these standards and their objectives, the time duration needed for preparation and mechanism of implementing the provisions and requirements of the certificate and work stages to participate in and acquire it.
Ms. Sheikha Al Jarmen, Director of Development and Corporate Performance at the RTA Strategy and Corporate Governance Sector said “The Authority is always working to introduce the best practices that aim at improving the work environment and developing mechanism to achieve the best practical outputs.” More info
