HE Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), has attended RTA’s celebrations of the 45thNational Day of the UAE comprising an array of heritage events that reflected the spirit of the union.
“The UAE has made numerous economic, development, social and urban achievements that merited it to emerge as a reputable global commercial, financial and tourist hub, thanks to the shrewd leadership of HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE; HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Their Highnesses Members of the Supreme Council and Rulers of the Emirates.
The UAE has also mapped out a wise approach to foreign policy as well as regional & international relations built on the principles of good neighbourliness, respect for international conventions and help to sister & friendly countries around the globe to alleviate their sufferings out of sheer humanitarian grounds. What has been achieved on the ground in terms of phenomenal economic, social and urban development is a unique accomplishment by all standards, however, the real miracle rests on cultivating the human talents through enriching & empowering individuals with know-how, culture and all sorts of knowledge in order to contribute to further development & prosperity,” added Al Tayer.
“The second of December will always remain in the hearts and souls of the UAE citizens as a day of pride and honour. On this day in 1971, the creation of the UAE Federation had been announced, establishing the most successful unionist model ever witnessed across the Arab world, ushering an era of development & prosperity that has elevated the profile of country to a status befitting its deeply rooted history and traditions.
“The Spirit of the Union logo replicates the idea that links all union elements derived from the vision of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. Such a spirit has continued to roll on under the reign of HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan,” commented Al Tayer. More info
