RTA completes processing one million Licensing transactions in Q1, 2010

The Licensing Agency of the Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) has processed one million transactions during the first quarter of this year 2010 through its various outlets such as Deira licensing Center, Al Barsha Licensing Center, RTA Main Customer Service Center, petrol stations, driving institutes, auto dealers and cooperative societies.

2According to Ahmed Hashim Bahrozyan, CEO of RTA Licensing Agency, ENOC’s Tasjeel Station at Al Qusais topped the list in terms of the number of transactions processed as the station managed to process 108,937 transactions, followed by ENOC’s Tasjeel at Al Barsha which registered 95,834 transactions, then came Deira Licensing Center posting 83,738 transactions processed.

“The Agency is intending to increase the channels through which its services are delivered and distribute them over a vital and key areas spanning the whole geographical district of Dubai City. This complements the efforts of the Agency to broaden the scope of services, minimize congestion, speed up the processing of transactions, save customers’ time & effort, provide best-in-class services, and adopt world-class standards in testing, registration and licensing of vehicles as well as other services such as renewal, permits and e-services through the five departments of the Agency, namely: Vehicle Licensing, Drivers Licensing, Monitoring & Enforcement, Commercial Transport Activities, and Drivers Training & Classification.

“The Agency is pursuing a policy focusing on customer convenience and processing transactions through all available electronic platforms. The main objective is to prevent the thronging of customers behind counters, and easing the pressure on both the clients and employees of the Center. For this end the Agency has introduced e-services to cover vehicle registration and renewal, driving licenses, payment of fines, and make submission of complaints against Black Points of traffic offences, early order of distinguished number plates, and e-link with all insurance companies in the UAE.
