The number of e-wallet transactions conducted by companies and institutions benefiting from various services offered by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) since this service was launched has topped 22,815 received in all RTA customer service centers; which bears reference to the growing popularity of these services among RTA corporate customers.
Apart from the other e-payment channels such as the e-payment portal in Dubai at the Smart Government of Dubai, the RTA has recently opened extra recharge channels for this service including money changers in partnership with Al Ansari Exchange in a bid to provide new payment channels to deposit amounts in the e-wallet account in cash or by checks, thus gaining more popularity to this service among RTA customers.
Khalid Al Awadhi, Director of Automated Fare Collection, Corporate Technical Support Services Sector, RTA said, “The RTA is moving ahead with expanding and strengthening its smart channels in a way that makes it easier for individuals, companies and institutions to take advantage of its various services, thus saving the time and effort of its customers from various community segments.”
“Companies and entities benefiting from the RTA’s service can now pay the prescribed fees to enjoy any of RTA’s service in a smooth and fast manner by transferring the required amounts from their accounts directly to the e-wallet without paying any transfer fees. As for companies and entities, which are not interested in using the smart channels, they can still pay the prescribed fees in cash through the financial channels to Al Ansari Exchange,” elaborated Al Awadhi.
