The Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) has recently signed partnership agreement with Al Buhaira National Insurance Company, whereby the latter will distribute prepaid parking cards, Salik tags, and Salik account top-up cards at its outlets in various land border posts of the UAE.
The Agreement was signed on behalf of the RTA by engineer Maitha bin Udai, CEO of RTA Traffic & Roads Agency; and on behalf of the Company by Mohammed Ahmed Khalaf, Executive Director of Vehicles Dep’t.
“The Agreement aims to make the said cards accessible for the UAE visitors from the moment they step in the country, thus obviating picking up potential offences in this regard, let alone raising the awareness of this segment of motorists through forging cooperative relations and partnerships between the public and private sectors,” said Maitha.
“Among the objectives of the Agreement is to increase the number of selling points available for customers interested in buying parking & Salik cards; a policy that stems from a strategy of the RTA that revolves around offering handy services to users of RTA products under a drive themed ‘Customers First’. The RTA will spare no effort in identifying the needs & expectations of clients, be it visitors or residents in Dubai; which is clearly evident in the agreements frequently made with different stakeholders with a view to saving time & effort of customers in availing the required services,” she continued.
For his part, Mohammed Ahmed Khalaf praised the partnership with the RTA; being a public entity that has a myriad of services that concern the public. “This Agreement illustrates RTA’s huge attention to attaining satisfaction of customers through offering them hassle-free services. Such services will now be on offer through our offices in the land border posts of the UAE, and this step on the part of the RTA is bound to boost the cooperation between government entities and the private sector,” added the Director Executive Director of Vehicles Dep’t, Al Buhaira National Insurance Company.
